Learning What It Takes

2019 sap pic Learning what it takes to be successful at SAP, one of the world’s top enterprise software companies.  Twenty- two WCASD high school students attending the job shadow event at SAP America in Newtown Square on February 8th.  The students heard from professionals in sales, marketing, finance, IT and innovation.  Several of the speakers were only a few years out of college and shared valuable information with our students about the importance of LinkedIn, internships and extra-curricular activities.  Another common theme was working hard and learning from your mistakes.  Thank you SAP for an amazing opportunity to open our students’ eyes to the many career options in our area.

Why do these kids love DECA?

Well, send your 8th grade to spend the afternoon with us on January 31 to find out! Last Friday three of our DECA officers spoke with the 8th graders at Fugett about our business electives and DECA. We have several options for incoming 9th graders as well as upperclassmen. Have your child turn in their permission slip to the fugett main office by Wednesday to secure their spot at our free workshop. Contact Carol Lill at clill@wcasd.net with any questions.

Our business department has several classes that may interest current east students as well. None of our classes have prerequisites, check something out if it interest you, we promise you won’t be disappointed. Stop by 118, I (Mrs. Lill) am happy to answer your questions!
